Congratulations on your new HearHelp device! This guide will walk you through everything you need to get started.
What's in the Box
Your HearHelp package includes:
- Your HearHelp amplifier(s)
- Charging case with USB cable
- Multiple ear tip sizes (S, M, L)
- Quick start guide
- Cleaning tool
Step 1: Charge Your Device
Before first use, charge your device fully:
- Open the charging case
- Place your HearHelp device in the case
- Connect the USB cable to the case and a power source
- The LED will show red while charging, green when full
- First charge takes about 2-3 hours
Step 2: Find the Right Fit
A good fit is essential for comfort and sound quality:
- Try the medium ear tips first (most common fit)
- Insert the device and twist slightly to secure
- If it feels loose or falls out, try a larger size
- If it's uncomfortable, try a smaller size
Tip: The device should feel snug but not painful. You should be able to wear it for hours comfortably.
Step 3: Power On and Adjust
- Remove from charging case (auto power on) or press the button
- You'll hear a startup tone
- Start with volume at the lowest setting
- Gradually increase until speech sounds natural
Step 4: Try Different Programs
Most HearHelp devices have multiple listening programs:
- Program 1: General/everyday use
- Program 2: Noisy environments
- Program 3: TV/music listening
Press the button to cycle through programs. A tone indicates each change.
Tips for Best Results
- Start slow: Wear for 1-2 hours the first day, gradually increasing
- Practice at home: Get comfortable before wearing in public
- Keep it dry: Remove before showering or swimming
- Clean regularly: Use the included cleaning tool daily
